Leadership

Looking back, I’ve realized that being a good leader is all about staying humble. I know I’m rarely the smartest in the room, but that’s okay. I’ve learned that the real magic happens when you surround yourself with bright minds.

When making decisions, it’s a team effort. I’ve found that the best ones come from bouncing ideas around with a diverse group of people who have good insights into the business and also none at all. We all bring something to the table, and that mix of perspectives is where the real magic happens. Listening is important.

Being a leader also means giving folks the freedom to get creative and make choices, even if it means they might goof up. It’s in those slip-ups that we often stumble onto something awesome. As long as it doesn’t mess things up too much, mistakes can be turned into lessons.

I’ve been lucky to learn this stuff from some awesome leaders I’ve crossed paths with. They’ve shown me that being down-to-earth and giving everyone room to shine is the secret sauce. Let’s keep leading with that humble vibe, knowing that the real strength is in all of us working together.
